Not quite finished

Not quite finished here on Monday night but it is the last of my photos. Cudos to John and Dad for the finely installed floor. If you could have seen the carpet you would agree with me that is the finest part of the work done.

I am sorry I don't have a picture with the walls totally painted and with the furniture in. I will save that for later and maybe I'll even work on getting some good lighting for the next shot.

2300 Hours

The doors are back on! Wendy and Mom are attacking the job of attaching new drawer handles
Notice the large upgrade for the light. Ann is very proud of the work done on cabinet doors. The brushed steel hardware is so choice

They say taupe is very soothing

Above are some pictures of the cabinets in the kitchen with the doors off while they are being painted. The cabinets have a nice coating of white paint now. Sadly there are no pictures of us the night before with primer, regardless a wonderful time was had by all. As you will notice the walls are getting a nice first coat taupe.
Why do they always paint hallways that color?

The Kitchen Before

Here is the a view from the family room into the kitchen. The table was taken before we got to our work.

BEFORE

There was some major work going on at John & Wendy's new place a few weekends ago. I thought people would like to see how the little makeover went. Plus it is always so satisfying to see how far things come along. Here is a view of the family room, although we started without the tv, chair, and lamp. But that beautiful carpet was left behind.

Made it!

I'm home! Huzzah. It was a close call changing planes in Chicago, but we pulled through. I've got to go to bed, but I love you all and can't wait to chat more.

all fixed (mostly)

Hi family! Things are almost all fixed over here. I just need to get my passport and make it onto my flight, get through customs in Chicago, and get home! Woo Hoo! Thanks for all your help. Love you all.

Airport

Hello Provo Siblings! I was wondering if someone could pick me up from the airport a week from this Sunday (so eight days from now. Sun the 27th of Aug.) at 9:15pm ish? Portland Bennions are welcome to pick me up too if they want. :)

Life is going well in the UK. I haven't yet heard from publishers clearing house. But then I haven't submitted yet either. We just got back from our trip around the UK visiting Liverpool, York, Edinburgh, and Cornwall. It really was a fantastic trip. 2 highlights:

Walking at night in the pouring rain after a 9 hour train ride to the Bates hostel in Cornwall. After walking through the town we cross an unlit highway and go up an unlit forest road to this out of the way creepy building. I was laughing so hard!

Lots of places in the UK offer walking tours--a tour guide shows you around the town and tells you history, stories, whatever. In York we took the ghost tour. Our guide was hilarious--he told us lots of fun local ghost stories and some of the city's history.

Anyhow, I love you all and I bought some really fun gifts so I can't wait to get home and ship them out.

A more detailed list of countries visiting our site is listed below. A big welcome to our friends from Nepal.

A detailed list of keywords that bring folks to our site are listed below. As you can tell, if you type in "herbie love bug coloring pages" our site will eventually show up. Unfortunately, this has not been a heavily used keyword. Peter and Linda are a close second behind Don and Amy on the list of folks that search themselves on Google (just kidding). Detailed findings below.

Thanks to Dan Bennion for posting a link to us on his blog. We note that he has increased our referring traffic.

A big congrats on a favorable year thus far. I hope that the lag in recent posts is only a calm before the storm.

Steve Austin vs. Sasquatch

Anyone remember watching the Six-Million Dollar Man and seeing the episode where Steve Austin takes on Sasquatch? They wind up joining forces and working together. It has the freaky spinning tunnel that he has to run through? Here is a picture to prime your memories. Just wondering...
