In honor of the upcoming wedding...

This is my favorite love poem. Mom and Dad brought me back a collection of poems by W.B. Yeats from Ireland, and this poem is the reason. Remember Dad, how we tried to find it and we thought it wasn't in the collection? It is and I found it today! So, for Ann and Rob:

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

Works best for me to read it out loud and a couple of times. :)

Congratulations to Rob and Ann. Marriage is really the very best friendship and I see that Rob and Ann have a wonderful friendship upon which to build in the years to come. So many exciting moments ahead in the next few weeks.
