Brings back memories
Today I found out about this = http://www.transformersmovie.com/. I must say that I am very interested in seeing what is going to come about from this movie project. I am wondering what any of the Anyone else thinks about the creating of a new CGI Transformer movie.

John: So Nathan,What was your favorite part of the baseball game?
Nathan: Getting the Jumbo Hot Dog.
John: What team did we want to win?
Nathan: Portland Beavers!
John: What else did you like about the game?
Nathan: When the batter broke the bat!
John: How about the 3-run Home Run? Or the Grand Slam?
Nathan: I liked both of them.
John: Is there anything else you wanted to tell us?
Nathan: Hmmm... Let's see... That's All.
John: Great.

By VERY popular request here are some pics from Will's 1st Birthday. After a long day including a fun trip to the pool with Aunt Anna and Uncle Joe, Will was exhausted and we were worried that he would be too tired for the party. Will, however, pulled through and we had a great time. We look forward to seeing some Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandmas and Grandpas in Portland soon. Love,

An interesting day
Yesterday was quite interesting for me at my work at Staples. As an associate of Staples I am expected to sell Product Service and Replacement plans. This past week my store has been doing very poorly on sales of plans. In the past 2 weeks I was only able to sell $25 worth of plans and we also weren't doing well in other departments. My direct supervisor was under a lot of pressure to sell and was receiving about 3 phone calls a day getting chewed out for not meeting Company Expectations. I was very worried that I may be "let go." This past week in Elders Quorum we had talked about the power of Prayer. I pondered over my work and decided to pray to the Lord. I told him how I needed to sell more Product Service and Replacement plans, and could he please guide and help me do this. The next day when I arrived at work, my supervisor was already in the back on a conference call about our department's sales. The moment I arrived on the floor I helped a gentleman get a new printer (HP K550) with a $30 service plan. Then a few minutes later I helped a lady buy two camera's (Sony Cybershot W30 and S600) each with a product replacement plan (totaling approx. $90), and some memory cards, and a camera Printer and some ink and paper and a full size printer with paper and ink. I was astounded by how my prayers were answered so quickly and so well. I no longer have to worry about losing my job and I feel great about work again. I thought you would all enjoy this story and I hope you have all had wonderful weeks.

DaVinci Code
I went to see DaVinci code earlier this week. I enjoyed myself, although I think it's a little hokey, especially for how seriously it seems to take itself. I like Ebert's review of National Treasurer on the subject. Good casting and good filming. Last night I was reading my friend's blog and thought his parody of the story was really funny. Check it out at http://tolkienboy.blogspot.com/. It's called Life by Dan Brown, just in case he posts again before you look at it.
