so what did you all think? Those opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics were incredible!! It was breathtaking. I was SO impressed. They spent 300 million on the opening ceremonies with 15,000 individual performers. It was awe inspiring. Every one performing in perfect unison. Looks like it is going to be an amazing olympic month. Last night I saw Michael Phelps and the 4x100 relay swimming win the gold. It was a great match. Very excited to see the gymnastics.

I watched the relay online this morning. That was spectacular. Bonus points for beating the French. Double bonus points for beating the trash talking French. Triple bonus points for making your trash talking French opponent cry. I love swimming. I also get into the rowing.

I watched the high bar for men. GO USA!

Yes, beating the trash talking French made the win all the sweeter. I hope Micheal Phelps beats the all time record.

Amen to all of the above. John--I laughed so hard.

That was a great relay--I have no idea how that last man did it. WOW!

I'm also a fan of the gymnastics. Totally enjoying it. We even have DVR so we can fastforward to where ever we want.

Lovin' the Olympics and giving up lots of sleep to enjoy them. But every minute of lost sleep was worth it for the 4x100 relay. I LOVED it. It was one of those unforgettable, inexplicable moments that is remembered forever. I am also loving the US Basketball celebs who are awed by the whole Olympic experience. Was so proud of our gymnasts last night and have been impressed with the way in which Beijing has run the games. The opening ceremonies were a WOW! All that synchronization helps to explain the Chinese dominance in that synchronized diving...Anyway, hats off to all the athletes who work so hard to hone their skills and then go out and PERFORM under the white hot glare of the Olympic press corp. Thanks for the nice post, Nai.
