Mom - Happy Birthday. Wish we could all sit down around a table and share some cake and ice cream with you and have the chance to sing Happy Birthday and tell you how much we love you. For today, however, we will be thankful for cyberspace and family blogs where we can share our best wishes!
I love Mom because
she is so appreciative of every little thing.
she is my enthusiastic supporter.
she taught me how to be a happy mom.
she understood the joy of a good shopping trip.
she made our childhood home happy and secure.
she knows how to keep a beautiful home.
she is a great cook and I stand in awe of the years that she put a great dinner on the table EVERY night.
she always took good care of herself and was the prettiest mom around...
she set the example of being involved in your children's education. We all wanted mom to be OUR room mother.
she makes wonderful friendships - Carmen Culotta, Elsie Hurst, Elsie Alger, Mary Palmer, Grace Tanaka, and so many others. People love mom.
she made our friends feel so comfortable in our home.
she loves dogs and we had some great pets because mom was so good about taking care of them.
she loved to garden and made the Hawaiian home a little garden paradise (with Burke's help).
she made the holidays so fun and I feel the desire to give that same joy to my children.
she makes thee best apple and lemon meringue pies.
she loves to hear the good news of others, especially that of her children and grandchildren.
she taught me how to cook and clean.
she sewed for us and made adorable clothes. I still remember some of the cute things she made in my teen years.
she taught us how to wait and anticipate good things.
I just love mom and appreciate every big and little thing she did to make my life so rich and joyful...every birthday party, every Easter basket, every Sunday dinner, every shopping trip, every moment when I felt loved, cared for, understood and worried over.
Thanks, Mom. I hope you have a terrific day.

Mom has been the love of my life. I love her with every fiber of my being and I thank God for her love.
Rusty persevered through the times that others would have thrown in the towel.
She is a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother on top of being a wonderfully loving wife.
Linda has listed her accomplishments much better than I could, and I agree wholeheartedly with each any every point.
Whatever the family or I have attained Rusty is the primary reason.
Today she is a magnificent eighty-four years young. Next month she will have survived sixty-two years of marriage.
I can't remember much of my life before I met her. She has filled my life with all that anyone could desire.
I love you Helena, Rusty, my wife and lover.

Happy Birthday Grandma!
I love Grandma because she is so happy and energetic.
She has a great laugh and sense of humor.
She is so fun to talk to and has the best east coast accent west of the Mississippi.
She loves to have fun. I remember doing Christmas in Poway and i was the first one up and grandma came in second.
She is very kind and loving. You always get a nice welcoming kiss on the cheek from Grandma. I love that.
She is very supportive and makes you feel great about your accomplishments.
She is beautiful and has a very infectious smile.
I love you grandma and hope you have a great birthday.
Happy Birthday!
I love Grandma because she is so kind
She is so pretty (Ann would say cute)
She gave John the red hair which I love on Greg.
She is so loving to everyone.
Shat raised a wonderful family that has given me an amazing Mother, Uncle, and Aunt.
She has wonderful style, always very classy.
I always feel so encouraged by Grandma and she makes me feel like I am a success.
Love you Grandma, Ann & I are anxious to see you soon.
I love Grandma because:
She is a kind and loving person
She is brave (She once took a cross-country train trip with her children and without Grandad)
She keeps me posted on happenings in the family
She thinks my children are completely wonderful
She makes me feel better about myself after talking to her
Happy Birthday, Grandma! We love you!
Love,
Wendy
I love Grandmom because
She is always happy and uplifting.
She is always interested in how you are doing and what you are up to.
She is very easy going. Best example here is how she was easygoing when Rob and I wore basketball high tops and neon jams to Harrington's. A close second was her ability to laugh off the Managa Inn.
She is beautiful and passed on those genes generously. Greg, Katie, William, and I are indebted.
She is kind.
If Linda's apple pie is any reflection of hers, we are grateful.
Have a happy birthday!
Happy Birthday, Mom!
I like Rusty because I am the recipient of a one of her greatest birthday gifts (Linda!).
I like Rusty because I was told years ago that great women grow to become more like their mothers with time - and it is true! And I love it!
I love Rusty because she always looks for the good, she is a peacemaker, she is optomistic, and is quick to smile and laugh. And she has passed all of those great traits on to her offspring!
I love Rusty because she is full of love and goodness and I love to be around her.
And I love Rusty because I feel her love for me every time we visit.
Best wishes for many Happy Birthdays to come!
Love,
Richard
I love Grandma because:
-even when you are just talking on the phone, you can hear her smiling
-she always knows what everyone is up to. She keeps us up to date on goings-on in the family when we talk to her
-she is so fun to talk with (along with Grandpa) on Skype
-she takes pride in her family
-She is so pretty and has a great smile
-She likes to look nice
-She speaks so positively.
I love Grandma Dunlap! Hope you had a great birthday!
Amy
P.S.
Apple pie is probably my most favorite dessert ever...would you mind posting your recipe on the blog, Grandma? :)
I love Grandma because she is so much fun to be around and talk to.
I love her Boston accent.
You are very generous. When Anna and I came to Hawaii without any money (we spent it on games) Grandma took pity on us and bought us some nice shirts while we were there.
She loves a good laugh and passed that great trait to her children.
She loves her family and it shows.
She brought her beautiful looks and red hair to the family.
I love you Grandma!
