Happy Birthday to the best brother! I love Burke because
He is the most generous person I know
He is easy to approach and he is willing to listen
He is interested in the world, in politics, in great thoughts
He "reads" a ton on CD....he has really enriched our audio book collection
He is willing to admit he has made a mistake and earnestly seeks to be a good person
He is a great story teller
He is the hardest worker I know
He is meticulous in his work
He is gifted in the work that he does
He is a true artist with an eye and a heart for all things beautiful
He has an infectious laugh that our children love to imitate because it is so real and so full of
raw joy in something funny
He is a great gift giver....loves to find something that will be meaningful to the person to whom
he is giving the gift
He is a loyal brother and a loving son
He gave Robin and me the joy of having a real live "baby doll" when we were 5 and 6 and he was
a newborn (well, I guess you would say Mom and Dad gave us the baby :)....all I can say
is that we ADORED him!
He is dear to me and to Rich and to all of his nephews and his niece. We feel so lucky to have
Uncle Burke in our lives!

I love Uncle Burke because
He has a great laugh and a great sense of humor

He is the best basketball player to come out of Cal as evidenced by our one on one games in the backyard
He is a great gift giver and would always take me to the basketball card shop when he was in town

I love you more than I could ever put into words. If you think of your love for Maxwell that will give you some indication of my love for you. You have made me so proud over the years by your actions, your compassion, your consideration, your honesty, your willingness to take big risks for the right reasons. I so enjoy our conversations on your way home after your long day. You and I have similar thoughts on so many things that count, such as religion and its importance in our lives, politics, freedom, responsibility, family, friends, making a difference in lives around us. I love it when you share your thoughts on the books that you are listening to and reading. I hope you will always keep your love of discovery of new and important concepts that are contained in these books.

I love Burke for so many reasons:
I will never forget his darling sweetness as a child, Linda and I could get him to do almost anything for our shows, plays and whatever fun make-believe thing we had going. He is a great example to me, through his hard work and high standarts. He has such a "Green" thumb. I have learned so much from him, about plants and nature. His love for all of us makes us richer. I am so proud of his accomplishments. I love his wife Chantel and Max, she has been such a benefit to him in so many ways, and his love for Max has enriched his life and ours. Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Burke!!
I love Burke for his amazing sense of humour! He is an incredible storyteller, you are always hanging on to his last word and never disappointed. He has me laughing in stitches by the end. What makes his stories so great is that he has great insight into people, life and the world around us. I always learn so much from Uncle Burke.
He is SO artistic. I love the landscape painting and the boy with the birds of paradise painting at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The sense of color is so nice. It shows a kind heart, which is what Uncle Burke has.
As a kid he took me surfing (boogie boarding) and was always fun to eat cocoa puffs with. I love the joy he brings to everyone around him.
His work ethic is amazing. You have done an incredible job with your company. I remember your banana plantation in Hawaii years back (that was too dirty for my young princess tastes) and to think you have developed that into a company where you can share your amazing talents with plants and landscaping to all the people of Hawaii.
You are an amazing inspiration and I love you very much Uncle Burke!!

N! (k)Nows how to give great gifts. Years ago Uncle Burke gave me Little Women for my birthday. I've read it more times than I can count and it quickly became one of my very favorites. It's been one of those formative books for me. It's also a beautiful copy.

Happy Birthday Uncle Burke!
I like Uncle Burke because he is so loving
I always feel like he is truly interested in my well being
He is always so genuinely grateful to others
He likes to have fun
He is true blue…there is nothing fake about Burke
I feel like he loves to give of himself to others in any way he can.
Working with him through part of a summer was a truly amazing experience. I always remember my time with him so fondly. I learned so much and loved working outdoors with him. I feel so lucky to have spent time with him, even the Saturdays on the job site.
All anyone has heard about the work ethic is true. He values and takes pride in good hard work and accomplishing something.
I wish I could wax more eloquent but feel unable.
