Happy Birthday to Rich!
I love Richard because
he keeps life fun and exciting
he is generous
he is wise
he is smart and funny and I think those two are essential to each other
he is unafraid of hard work, challenging projects, mean people
he has a creative streak that is enchanting
when he loves a song, a movie, a book, a television series, he really loves it and absorbs every nuance of it and shares it with me
he gives the most interesting and inspirational talks at church
he is an outstanding teacher
he is a serious optimist (Wayne Christensen's "right on" description of him)
he is a visionary....
he thinks in unique ways and has blessed our family because he does
he is always willing to and working to improve
he is thoughtful
he is my best friend
he listens to me and values my ideas
he praises me and makes me feel that I am important to him
he looks for ways to give "unexpected gift at unexpected time" and he is good at it
he takes joy in making people happy at home, at the office and at Church
there "ain't no mountain high enough" to stop him when he believes the thing that he is doing is the right thing to do.
No on can beat Richard in the service department....he has taught me and the children how to serve others, look for opportunities to serve and find joy in service
He is the best person I have ever known!!!!

he has great hair
he likes to have fun and wants others to have good times with him

I love Richard because he exemplifies all that is good.
He instigated and made the Dunlap Family reunions memorable.
He and Linda met me at the baggage carousel on a trip to L.A. to seek my approval for their engagement.
He is one of the finest men I have had the privilege of calling not only a son, but a dear and valued friend.
I have told my friends that if I looked the world over I would never have found his equal.
His intellect, his industry, his sense of humor, his wide and varied interests, his love for his family, and his constant availability are only a few of his marvelous traits.
I love Richard as a son even though he is not.
I love Richard because it is obvious that God loves him especially.

I love Dad because:
He is wise.

He is multi dimensional: creative, technically razor-sharp, practical, idealistic, funny, serious.
He has a big engine (cycling term for someone who can go very hard)
He tells great jokes.
He likes Lost and likes to discuss it.
He shops on the 24th every year.
He likes to be with people, and he is fun to be with.
He is persistent, especially when it is important.
Dad listens well.
He gives great advice.
He is a great example.

I love Uncle Richard because: he lives and loves so well. He knows how to make people feel good about themselves and whatever it is they are doing. He is a great encouragement to me to try harder, to stretch more, to be kinder, to relish life and the people in it, he has makes us all better, because he cares about each of us. He is a great father, husband, and friend. Happy Birthday Uncle Rich We love you very much.
I love dad because he is so fun to be around. He is very generous with his time, talents and money. He gives great advice and is caring at all times. He is an extremely good speaker, and an excelent gift giver. He is the best dad I could think of and I love him with all my heart.

I love Dad Bennion because:
He is really fun to go Christmas shopping with
He is a really good cook...I still remember his garlic mashed potatoes he made on my first visit to WA when Don and I were engaged. So delicious. Also really like his stuffed mushrooms.
He is good at fixing stuff around the house
He is good at helping clean up around the house and has passed that trait along to Don, which I love!
He is a great example of doing your family history, and has a contagious enthusiasm for it.
He is always great at bringing his children along with him to do important things, like service projects, family history, etc.
I love his insights into the scriptures.
He is great with his grandchildren and has endless patience with them.
He bends his schedule to help others (for example, coming to rescue Don and I and kids from the Seattle airport when our flight was cancelled due to weather...he left Wenatchee at 9 pm, meaning we didn't get back to Wenatchee until 3 or 4 am...we were so glad to see him and his Yukon after our almost 24 hour ordeal!)
He is a great person and I am so blessed that my children have him to look up to as their grandpa and great role model.
