Happy Birthday Nai! I love Naima because she is everything that you would hope your granddaughter would turn out to be. I remember her as a tiny baby sleeping in grandma's and my bedroom on Nawiliwili Street pleading after we were all tucked in for the night, "Juice Grandma" . Up without a moments hesitation would be grandma to bring a bottle of juice to our first grandchild. She is beautiful, loving, talented, inquisitive, supportive, and beautiful in all respects.Grandpa

Lastly, my favorite thing about Nai is that in spite of all of the above-mentioned qualities, she is unassuming, down-to-earth, and not intimidating. You don't feel like you are less of a person even though she is so much of one.

I love Naima because she is gentle, loving and humble. Humility is a rare virtue...for me it means you are willing to learn from others...you believe others can teach you something. You are so willing to learn from others, Nai. You aren't a pushover...you are strong and independent and full of ideas and thoughts, but you are not threatened by the thoughts of others. It is a rare thing and most impressive. I love you and Jeremy and am so grateful that we are family.
