So, I thought the Republicans brought all this on themselves (scandal, pork). I wish they hadn't done it. I am sad to see Donald Rumsfeld go, but I am not sure whether to think there will be an improvement with Gates.
Painful day.

The Democratic National Committee stopped by our place last night. They are very happy about the results of the election but are raising money...They asked me for a donation of $100.00. I politely declined, although I considered telling her that they and the UW Althletic Department would be the last people on earth to see my money.
I remember when Bill Clinton won a second term...I thought the world had ended....my Dad reassured me that he had lived through some Presidents that he felt would bring the world as we know it to and end....This too shall pass. I say let the Dems see if they can handle the world we live in....it's a cycle. Bill Clinton had the same results in his 1st or second midterm election.
But I agree it hurts to see the glee!
