Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas although we missed spending it with all of you! It's been fun catching up with most of you via Skype.
These are the boys' new PJs courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Bennion. As soon as Will put them he shouted,"These look so cool!" We couldn't agree more. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
We made a traditional Christmas dinner. This is the flaeskesteg (pronounced fleskuh-sty). It is basically a pork roast with the skin still on. You rub in a lot of butter and salt and the skin bubbles and gets really crunchy. Mmmm. We also had red cabbage, caramelized potatoes, amazing gravy, boiled potatoes, veggies and a Danish rice pudding dessert.

We miss you dearly this holiday season. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing some of your Christmas with us. I love the Danish Christmas decorations in the background of your delicious pork roast! You are the cutest little family and we are so proud of all 5 of you. By the way, so glad you took a picture in front of the name of the church spelled in Danish. That is a real keeper!

the boys are so darling. Just love their faces. The pork roast looks delicious. I cooked a pork roast too. But not as crunchy on top. Thanks for sharing.
