I was especially happy today...I thought it might be because it was Friday and then it hit me...it's January 23rd and it's Wendy Elise's birthday. Of all the great things that ever happened on the January 23rd's of all time, I contend that the best was that Wendy was born!
I love Wendy because...
She is so truly kind and gracious.
She is a fabulous mother,
She has a truckload of good sense.
She knows what really matters in life.
She is frugal.
She is the perfect wife for John.
She is intelligent and has interesting insights.
She is wise.
She is lovely and beautiful, but if she was ugly, I would still love her.
She is fun! She loves a good game and is competitive. She loves a good movie and will stay up well past her bedtime to enjoy one with the family.
She is a great example to the young women that she teaches at church.
She has a delicious sense of humor.
She is so good to the Bennions...all of them.
She is a good sport and puts up with the opinionated Bennions who are "seldom wrong, but never in doubt.
I adore her and count her as a friend and as one of my greatest blessings!

She is a sweet, sweet woman, and has a ton of heart. She is small but mighty. She flexible, fun and always ready to dig in. I am amazed at her energy and indomitable spirit. Yeah, Go Wendy! Happy Birthday: )

she is down to earth and genuine.

I love Wendy, because she is the perfect combination of grace and wisdom. She is a great Mom, and is full of patience - and at times long suffering :)
I love Wendy because she is a great listener. She is easy to talk to and is genuinely interested in others.
I love Wendy because she is personification of the fabric metaphor bestowed upon her by her Uncle: "She is all wool and a yard wide." Her uncle attributed that quote to my Uncle Hugh Bennion who meant "great quality in unusual abundance"
I love Wendy because she is perfect for John, she appreciates his good qualities, and loves the prospect of carving out a wonderful future together.

I like Wendy because
she is a great example of a good, loving and patient mother... I wish I were able to be around her more so I could learn more and more from her that way.
She is adventurous, likes to go skiing, hiking, whatever!
She and John came to visit me in the hospital after my boat accident--we were supposed to double date that night and I was disappointed not to be able to do that but so happy when I got to meet them anyway the next day as they came to see me
She is a great friend. I have felt a close friendship with her from my earliest days as a Bennion
She loves kids--her's of course, and kids in general
She is interested in so many subjects. I remember thinking it was so cool how she asked for a bird watching book for Christmas
She has great insights into the gospel
She is a great person and I love her alot!

I like Wendy because:
*She is a great listener as everyone has said above.
*She was so much fun and willing to include Josh and I in her's and John's activities when they were dating and when I returned from my mission.
*She is very patient and not easily rattled.
*She obviously cares a lot about her family and the gospel.
*She is always interested in our kids which is an attribute of hers that Amy and I often notice and appreciate.
*She and the Taylor family are ALWAYS willing to let us Bennions crash their party. She really comes from great stock. I consider the Taylors to be great friends in general.
Hope that you had a great Birthday like a week ago now.
